Gerald Karni
About the project
Gerald reached out to me looking for a website that would present him in a professional way while still feeling personal and true to him as a conductor. He wanted something rooted in the traditional style of a classical musician’s website, but with a subtle personal touch that would set it apart.
For personal websites, I like to let the imagery guide the visual direction. In this case, I took inspiration from the photography Gerald chose for the hero section and built the color palette and overall atmosphere around it. I went with a smooth, calming dark green and introduced small details throughout the design to give the site a more personal character while keeping it elegant and professional.
Like my other personal websites, the site also includes a custom admin dashboard where Gerald can easily manage his concerts and other content himself.
Gerald was very pleased with the result, especially because he felt the website represented him well — professional enough for his career, while still retaining a sense of his own personality.
