About the project
A dark, atmospheric website for composer and musician Tara Jovana Valkonen, designed to reflect her artistic world.
Tara had a clear vision from the start: the site shouldn’t give everything away. She wanted a sense of mystery, something that invites you in rather than explaining everything at once.
Instead of a traditional navigation-based layout, we went for a scrolling experience, letting the content unfold more like a journey.
To support that feeling, I integrated subtle background videos with a dark overlay, adding movement while keeping the overall tone minimal and atmospheric.
The site also includes a built-in admin dashboard, so she can easily manage her biography, works, and events on her own without needing to touch any code.
